Using Air Knives for Cleaning

  
air knives clean a rolling conveyorOften times, parts must be cleaned of particles or debris remaining from the manufacturing process to prevent marring of an applied finish. Brushing or wiping with a cloth or squeegee board can leave scratches on the product, reducing its sales appeal and value. Turbotech air knives use clean, high velocity air to sweep the surface clean without marring the finish. You can also use an air knife for blasting out trapped material where mechanical removal is not cost or time efficient.

An air knife can effectively clean: Circuit Board Holes; Flat Sheet Rubber and Plastic; Molds. 

Typical velocities to achieve good results are 20,000 to 36,000 ft./min.
