Using Air Knives for Heating
If your products' drying performance can be enhanced by raising the temperature of the air applied to the product consider using a heat-enhansed air knife solution. You can prolong or reduce cure time by using an air knife equipped with a heater. The heat can be controlled to provide a fixed temperature or be adjustable from just a few degrees above room temperature up to 450°F.
Heated air knife applications include: Curing Ink or Coatingings , Food Processing, Bag Opening, Maintaining glued surface temperature until application is complete, and Heat Release.
Typical velocities to achieve good results are 10,000 to 28,000 ft./min.
